This Privacy Policy explains what data RoleVsMe ("we") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We aim to collect only what we need to provide the Service.

1. Data we collect

Account data: your email address and authentication details.
Résumé & profile: the résumé text/file you upload and the structured skill profile we derive from it.
Usage data: analyses, roadmaps, optimizations, and credit transactions you create.
Payment data: handled by Stripe; we store only a customer reference and purchase records, never card numbers.

2. How we use it

To generate your match scores, skill-gap insights, roadmaps, and tailored CVs.
To operate your account, process credit purchases, and provide support.
To maintain and improve the Service and its market data.

3. Third-party processors

We share data with service providers strictly to operate the Service:

Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage.
OpenAI — to extract skills and generate roadmap/CV content from text you submit.
Job-data provider — to retrieve market job postings (we send role/search parameters, not your résumé).
Stripe — to process payments.

4. Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. You can edit or replace your résumé profile at any time, and you may request deletion of your account and associated data.

5. Your rights

Depending on your location (including the EU/EEA under GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these, contact us at the address below.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use them to track you across other sites.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, access controls, row-level security) to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however.

We may update this policy; material changes are reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
